Eco-friendly taxis and limos are being found across the country, including in North Texas. When  you need a taxi, consider supporting local businesses and reducing tailpipe emissions by seeking out companies that offer alternative fuel vehicles and/or exceptionally fuel efficient vehicles in their fleets. Below is a list of air-friendly taxi companies in the North Texas region. If you are aware of another company offering these options, please contact staff listed at the bottom of this page.

North Texas Green & Go Companies

Currently, the North Central Texas region violates the federal air quality standard for the pollutant ozone. To combat the formation of ozone, the Dallas Sustainable Skylines Initiative launched the North Texas Green & Go Partnership in 2008. This program encouraged the purchase and use of low-emitting and alternative fuel taxicabs and limousines. These efforts sought to improve air quality, protect public health, and preserve the environment. In 2009-2010, NCTCOG offered rebates for qualifying taxi purchases.
