Clean Vehicle Information

Several alternative fuel vehiclesMost of the air quality programs implemented through the Regional Transportation Council promote the use of vehicles that are lower-emitting than the average vehicle on the road today.  Programs generally either target light-duty passenger vehicles or heavy-duty vehicles, as many operational and technological differences exist between the two types. The information below provides a general overview of different aspects of air that are applicable to a variety of programs and strategies. 

The DFW Clean Cities Coalition works to reduce petroleum consumption in the transportation sector through the use of alternative fuels, fuel conservation, and more efficient vehicles.  Stay informed by attending quarterly Clean Cities meetings and other clean vehicle-related events in the region.
