2015-2018 Transportation Improvement Program

Within metropolitan areas across the country, regional transportation projects are tracked through Transportation Improvement Programs. The Transportation Improvement Program or TIP is a staged, multi-year program of projects approved for funding by federal, state, and local sources within the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area. The TIP contains projects with committed funds in fiscal years 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018. Project listings are financially constrained to available resources.

Every two to three years, the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG), in cooperation with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), local governments, and transportation agencies, develops a new TIP. The 2015-2018 TIP was approved by the Regional Transportation Council on April 10, 2014.  The Federal Highway Administration and Federal Transit Administration approved the 2015-2018 TIP on December 2, 2014 (See Appendix G for the approval letter).
