Floodplain Administrators/CRS Users Group
Description:
In partnership with the Texas Floodplain Management Association, the next North Central Texas Floodplain Administrators/CRS Users Group meeting is Friday, May 10th, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the NCTCOG offices. Alan Johnson, FEMA Region 6, will talk about water projects mitigation. This is focused on water crossings (bridges/culverts) that have been damaged or destroyed during a flood, and it discusses situations where H&H studies would and would not be necessary during the replacement/repair processes. The presentation will also touch on how these projects must comply with a community’s current floodplain standards, be they minimum NFIP requirements or higher standards.Attendees will receive a certificate for proof of two (2) CECs for their CFM License.
Lunch is available for a cost of $10, and will be from Panera. If you would like to purchase the lunch option, please check the box during registration. You will then be directed to the NCTCOG payment page where you can pay with a credit or debit card. Please pay in advance; cash and checks will not be accepted at the meeting. Lunch will be available at 11:45 a.m. and the meeting will begin at 12 p.m.
