Continue the Coversation — Your Opinion Counts
Stay Informed, Involved

Now that you are familiar with the issues the region faces, we would like your opinions on how to most effectively address them. The Dallas-Fort Worth area faces an uncertain transportation-funding picture. But with your help, leaders can make sound decisions so the region continues attracting the jobs and residents that have made North Texas one of the most sought-after places in the country. You have several options for providing feedback.

Public Meetings
Interact directly with Transportation Department staff members through the RTC-sponsored public meetings. The department holds these meetings throughout the 12-county metropolitan area. Presentations are posted online and written or oral comments are accepted for 30 days following public meetings. This gives residents another option for sharing their thoughts about transportation and air quality issues facing the region. To sign up to receive public meeting notices, visit www.nctcog.org/transcom.

Outreach
Transportation Department staff members regularly attend outreach events dedicated to educating residents about a range of policies, programs and projects in North Texas. At these events, staff members have the time to answer questions about what the department is doing to improve the lives of North Texans.

Phone/Fax/E-mail
Not everyone can attend public meetings. But they still may have questions about specific transportation or air quality issues the region is dealing with. The Transportation Department is available to answer residents’ questions by phone. Call us at 817-695-9240. Our fax number is 817-640-3028, or you can e-mail us at transinfo@nctcog.org.

Internet
The Transportation Department maintains a comprehensive website to help the public understand what is involved in developing and maintaining a world-class transportation system. The region’s air quality initiatives are also important because it is an ozone nonattainment area. The department keeps the site updated so residents have at their fingertips current information on how it is working to improve the quality of life in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Social Media
The NCTCOG Transportation Department can now be found on Facebook and Twitter as we seek new ways of engaging the public in conversations about transportation. Participating in social media allows the department to speak directly with residents and receive instant feedback to ensure its 6.5 million customers are receiving the best service possible.
